Health & Safety Services
Diligence EHS
Employers often find that they are unable to find the time to effectively manage their company health and safety requirements and the term “It won’t happen to me” becomes the optimism bias. When it does happen, panic and fear of prosecution becomes a reality, with a possibility of loss of revenue or even a custodial sentence.
Diligence EHS can provide the following services:
COSHH Assessments
According to HSE regulations and guidance COSHH assessments along with risk assessments should also be reviewed on a regular/ongoing basis (generally every 6 months) to monitor any changes to the way work is carried out including the substances and materials used that could pose a danger to the user.
COSHH assessments are a very important source of information especially where accidents occur. The emergency services don’t know everything about the substances that maybe in use in your particular workplace and they provide vital information to enable safe and efficient treatment in the event of an accident protecting the EMS and the patient.

Accident Investigation
Accidents are a thing that we want to avoid at all costs. Every year people are killed or injured at work.
Over 40 million working days are lost annually through work-related accidents and illnesses.
The old excuse that “It wasn’t my fault” is a commonly used phrase as no one really wants to admit liability and many turn a blind eye. Therefore, it is vitally important to investigate accidents thoroughly to get a clear picture of what led up to it, what actually happened and who witnessed the incident.
Witnesses can become traumatised and quickly forget or lie to avoid blame. Firstline Safety Training can provide Accident Investigation and Expert Witness Services to the Health & Safety Executive in the event of an accident occurring.
Our years of hands on experience will assist in gathering the correct information so as to establish what really happened. Therefore, you can be sure all information and support provided will be of a high standard.
Our investigator is fully trained in IOSH – Accident, Loss Investigation and Evidence Gathering.

For all companies employing operatives using handheld tools, Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) and Carpel Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a growing problem and often overlooked. Health Surveillance Assessments are a very important part of workplace health and safety.
Claims for HAVS and CTS are on the increase and it is your duty as an employer to try and reduce vibration exposure amongst your workforce and comply with the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005.
We will carry out a minute by minute trigger time study on individual employees who may be susceptible to HAVS / CTS from frequent use of handheld power tools during their daily work routine.
